Our latest creation, BanTOR III, is one powerful machine. The telescoping climber never failed to raise this beautiful bot. This robot also featured an unstoppable 6 Neo west coast drivetrain, that quickly zipped this little machine across the field. BanTOR III utilized a 5 ball autonomous mode to rank 3rd at the 2020 Los Angeles Regional and went all the way to the finals with teams 5124 and 2576. Unfortunately, this robot never got to compete at Champs (Thanks COVID, love you), however we did take our first-ever Chairman's Award at the cancelled Sacramento Regional.

TORmentor
This robot had a lot of firsts for 1197. As the team was transitioning to our current mission, which is to spread FIRST throughout the Torrance community, TORmentor was the first robot to use our now familiar naming scheme of including TOR in the name. It was also the first robot built in our current space, which previously served as the school’s auto shop. Finally, it was a semi-finalist at the 2008 Los Angeles Regional.
