Our latest creation, BanTOR III, is one powerful machine. The telescoping climber never failed to raise this beautiful bot. This robot also featured an unstoppable 6 Neo west coast drivetrain, that quickly zipped this little machine across the field. BanTOR III utilized a 5 ball autonomous mode to rank 3rd at the 2020 Los Angeles Regional and went all the way to the finals with teams 5124 and 2576. Unfortunately, this robot never got to compete at Champs (Thanks COVID, love you), however we did take our first-ever Chairman's Award at the cancelled Sacramento Regional.

ConducTOR
ConducTOR was a robot that could do every major task: it can shoot at the Speaker, it can score the Amp, it can Harmonize with ease. This was also the team's first year utilizing the swerve drive. The TorBots ranked 10th at Hueneme Port, a rarely-touched Week 1 Regional, then 2nd at Los Angeles. Both times they had made it to semifinals, showing off an amazing performance every match.
Digital Animation Award 2nd Place
The artists behind the Digital Animation Award submission created the 30-second "Build 'till you Climb",
achieving 2nd place, a step up from the previous year.
With the theme "Crescendo", the animation tells a story of a scrap robot rising from a junkyard, and reaching to the top of the hill full of green by rebuilding itself.
"The judges loved the cute, clever story, cohesive style, and solid character animation. Also, great use of depth of field to direct the viewer's focus."
