Our latest creation, BanTOR III, is one powerful machine. The telescoping climber never failed to raise this beautiful bot. This robot also featured an unstoppable 6 Neo west coast drivetrain, that quickly zipped this little machine across the field. BanTOR III utilized a 5 ball autonomous mode to rank 3rd at the 2020 Los Angeles Regional and went all the way to the finals with teams 5124 and 2576. Unfortunately, this robot never got to compete at Champs (Thanks COVID, love you), however we did take our first-ever Chairman's Award at the cancelled Sacramento Regional.

FIRST is about "more than just robots." It is about the experience of people working together towards a shared goal and making an impact in our communities.
The TorBots was presented our first-ever Chairman's Award at the 2020 Sacramento Regional during the FIRST Robotics Virtual Showcase. The Chairman's Award is the highest team honor awarded by FIRST, and we are grateful to everyone who has supported our team over the years.
The awards entry process includes an essay submission, presentation and interview with a panel of judges, and video that illustrates the team's FIRST experience:
