Our latest creation, BanTOR III, is one powerful machine. The telescoping climber never failed to raise this beautiful bot. This robot also featured an unstoppable 6 Neo west coast drivetrain, that quickly zipped this little machine across the field. BanTOR III utilized a 5 ball autonomous mode to rank 3rd at the 2020 Los Angeles Regional and went all the way to the finals with teams 5124 and 2576. Unfortunately, this robot never got to compete at Champs (Thanks COVID, love you), however we did take our first-ever Chairman's Award at the cancelled Sacramento Regional.

2021 - INFINITE RECHARGE
Not even a pandemic can stop the TorBots. During the 2021 FIRST Robotics Competition season, the team collaborated remotely to participate in three virtual competitions. In the Game Design Challenge, the team designed a fictional pirate-themed FIRST Robotics Competition game, High Seas, which we ultimately used to create a mock robot design competition to prepare new team members for the 2022 season.
In the Innovation Challenge, the team designed a build-it-yourself fitness tracker, the TOR-Band, to motivate kids to exercise and encourage their interest in STEM. The TorBots then created and presented a business plan about how we would market the product in retail stores.
In Infinite Recharge at Home, the team shared information about our robot's technical qualities and performance at the 2020 Los Angeles Regional with judges remotely.
The TorBots returned to the competition field at the 2021 Beach Blitz off-season tournament, entering the team's 20th season.
